This wiki page will give you helpful information about student log ins. Students can log in to the laptops or desktop computer using the following log in pattern:
Name: firstinitiallastname (first initial + lastname) Password: firstthreelettersoftheirLASTNAME4digitsofbirthday(first 3 letters of last name + 4 digits of birthday which means month + day)

As an example - here is how 'Thomas Miller' would log in:
Name: tmiller Password: mil0315 (Thomas' birthday is March 15th)
Log in reminders:
Remind students that we never share our passwords
No spaces allowed - BIG heads up: a student login may NOT work simply because the student has entered a 'space' in front of their name or password.
All logins are lower case
The names were entered based on the class lists. so, if a student's name is 'Anthony' but everyone calls hime Tony - refer to the class list; he would have been entered as 'Anthony'
You will receive via email login 'exceptions' for your class. Siblings with the same first initial will cause duplicate logins so one of the student logins will change.
Laptop Helpful Hints
Keep laptop cart plugged in to continuously charge laptops
Remember to UNPLUG laptop cart before moving it from room to room
Remind students to use TWO HANDS when removing and returning laptops to cart
Instruct students to hold laptop close to body when moving with laptops
Please insure that students' hands are clean when using computers
Inform students that it is a BEST PRACTICE to NOT touch a monitor screen on any computer - fingers will get the screen dirty and electrical charges can damage a computer if it is touched - especially in carpeted rooms
Instruct students to not rest their arms or hands on the monitor / lid of the laptop.
Inform students that when they are pointing at something on a computer screen to NOT physically touch the screenPlease remind students to avoid touching the screens / monitors
Students should remain at their desks and not walk around the room with a laptop. Students should wait at their desk for help.
